Expel: The world's first cleanable & reusable compressed air filter
Posted: 14/06/2019
Do you have problems with water, oil or particle build-up in your compressed air line? Designed and tested to ISO 12500, the EXPEL point of use filter is the world’s first cleanable, reusable compressed air filter and guarantees a clean, dry air supply to pneumatic equipment, prevents water and increases the service life of equipment. What's more, due to Expel's revolutionary and unique design replacement elements or cartridges are NEVER required and there are NO ongoing consumable costs!
- Removes 99.9999% of all liquids (water and oil emulsion)
- Removes 99.9999% of all solid particles down to 1 Micron in size
- No performance reduction, regardless of flow rate
- No ongoing consumable costs

How does it work?
The internal filtration assembly contains two stages of separation. In the first stage, a sequence of angled ‘vanes’ direct the incoming airflow through a specifically engineered torturous path, maximising the coalescence of the water, oil and solid particles. In this first stage, 95% of the separation is achieved.
For the second stage, the compressed air is then driven upwards, through the inside of the filter assembly where it is again forced to follow an engineered route to further coalesce the finer liquid molecules and particles which then gravitate to the base of the EXPEL, to be drained away.
This two-stage separation process guarantees a 99.9999% removal rate of all liquid water, oil emulsion and solid particles as small as 1 micron in size, resulting in a clean, dry compressed air exiting the filter.
