International Women’s Day
Every year on the 8th March, International Women’s Day takes place; a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Here at Flowtech we are proud to support International Women’s Day, we would like to take a moment to appreciate all of the women in our workforce and introduce you to some of our female Team Leaders.
Many of our internal teams are headed up by women, some of whom we have featured before. Today, we would like you to get to know Melonie O’Neill, our Call Centre Team Leader, Toni Bond, our Midlands Regional Team Leader and Angela Thomley, our South East & London Regional Team Leader in particular.

Melonie O’Neill started her journey with Flowtech back in June 2014; working part-time as a picker on the lift system in our Distribution Centre. She then progressed to a full-time position in our Call Centre in May 2016 and after being in this role for only a year, Mel’s aptitude and rapid development saw her being offered the role of Senior Call Centre Operator- becoming more hands-on with the daily organisation of the Call Centre. A year later, she was then further promoted to become our Call Centre Team Leader in March 2018. This allowed her to take full responsibly of the Call Centre team, with additional guidance from our Head of Communications, Cheryl Philbin. Since becoming the Team Leader, Mel has attended numerous courses, gaining new qualifications, to further enhance her abilities in her role. As an example, Mel attended back in November 2019, to become an Auditor [ISO 9001:2015 Certified Internal Auditor & Foundation]. Also in 2019, Mel completed Personality Profile Analysis training and is now qualified as a Thomas International Certified Practioner.

Toni Bond has been a part of Flowtech family for an impressive 18 years this June! She began her journey with us working within our Distribution Centre as a summer job in the summer of 2003. Between 2004 and 2020 Toni worked in multiple roles within the business, including Office Administration, Customer Services, Business Development and Commercial Development. In October 2020, Toni became our Midlands Regional Team Leader and her primary focus in this role is to ensure that the team looking after the needs of our customers in the Midlands region. Having been at Flowtech for so long, Toni has accumulated extensive knowledge of the fluid power industry and is an exceptional account manager to our customers- many of whom have got to know her and build a relationship with her over the last 18 years.

Angela Thomley originally joining the company in 2001, Angela worked in the call centre before moving to the Business Development Team. In 2019 Angela re-joined us, bringing a plethora of expertise in areas such as account management, sales and customer service. All extremely valuable skills which she can now apply to her role as Team Leader for the South East & London Business Development Team. Angela prides herself on providing excellent customer service and building relationships to become an extension of her customers’ businesses. |
