Flowtechnology UK are delighted to announce that Managing Director, John Farmer, has joined the board of the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA).
John Farmer, Managing Director Flowtechnology UK
The BFPA is the UK’s only trade association for the hydraulic and pneumatic industries and is there to represent the best interests of the fluid power industry at national, European and international level, working with government, legislative bodies and other professional associations.  The organisation also creates, raises and maintain technical and commercial standards while providing members with networking opportunities, exclusive market insight, industry trends and forecasts.

As should be the case for every good trade association, the BFPA is driven by its members.  Appointments to the BFPA Board are made on a three year rolling cycle and members are directly involved in the strategy and future direction of the Association.

John Farmer said: “Being a member of the BFPA is a privilege. We have worked closely together since becoming members 18 years ago and its benefits have been felt across the business over the years.  I am absolutely delighted to be accepted onto the Board and am committed to building relationships, raising standards and supporting members right across the industry.”

Chris Buxton, BFPA Director and CEO commented:  “The strength of any Trade Association depends upon a list of key issues.  Top of this list is the foresight, wisdom and business acumen amongst its Board Directors.  John’s experience and track record in the fluid power industry more than qualify him in this respect.  Myself, the BFPA Executive staff and John’s fellow directors very much welcome him to the team and look forward to working with him.”
